HOW TO SUBMIT TIME-OFF REQUESTS?
IMPORTANT
Home Base and Google Calendar won’t trigger any PTO payment.
All FOH Team Members must still add their absence in HomeBase, for scheduling purposes. If a Team Member wants to use Vacation, Flex PTO, or sick time, they should submit the request in Paycom in addition to Home Base.

FLEX PTO
Team Members can use Flex PTO to rest, rejuvenate, or recover, provided they still successfully complete all of their tasks and don’t disturb department operations.
The ability to take Flex PTO is not a form of additional wages for services performed but is part of our promise to provide a better work/life balance to our Team Members.
Guidelines
No maximum hours - No accrual rate - No rollover.
Eligibility: after 90 days, FT & PT Team Members.
2 weeks' notice REQUIRED – this PTO will not cover last-minute absences.
Vacation must be exhausted before using Flex PTO.
Accrued Vacation will be paid out to Team Members if end of employment occurs.
First Come – First Serve :
We highly recommend all Team Members submit their time off requests before committing to travel plans or buying plane tickets or hotels. If this is not possible, we ask you to reach out to your direct manager in advance to give us a heads up and make sure the department is able to approve your absence.
If there’s a request overlap that will affect the department, the approval will be granted on a first come first serve basis.
Alternatively, Team Members can also reach out to colleagues with the conflict in date to check if there's flexibility in switching dates.
During the popular season (summer and holidays, for example), if any conflicts arise in time off requests (paid or unpaid), preference will be given to the Team Member with the most seniority or based on past vacation schedules (i.e. if one person had time off around Christmas last year, the other person would have priority.)

SICK TIME
Upfront 40 hours every year.
Eligibility: after 90 days, FT & PT Team Members.
Process: Let your supervisor know as soon as possible > Submit the time of request on Paycom.
For absences superior to 3 working days Team Members must present a doctor's note.
VOLUNTEER TIME OFF
Up to 24 hours each year - does not roll over.
Submit a Request via Google Form **after you complete the volunteer activity** for HR approval.
Extra 8 hours of you volunteer for an 1% for the Planet NPOs
Examples of appropriate uses for VTO : Food Bank, Blood Donation, Animal Shelter, Habitat for Humanity, Community and Beach Clean-Ups, City and County Programs, Environment Protection; Support to communities impacted by disasters, Big Brother/Big Sister, etc.
Examples of inappropriate uses of VTO: Taking a vacation in a ski resort and giving ski lessons, Coaching a baseball team, Events with political affiliation, Violent protests, etc.
