FSA

If you sign up for FSA, you will receive a WEX Debit Card with the total balance you decided to contribute. Activate your account as soon as you receive the card.

Medical FSA

A Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is a special account you put money into that you use to pay for certain out-of-pocket health care costs.

You don’t pay taxes on this money. This means you’ll save an amount equal to the taxes you would have paid on the money you set aside.

Funds can be used for deductibles, copays, medication, and other healthcare-related out-of-pocket costs.

Max contribution amount per year: $1,200

Also, go to https://fsastore.com/ to shop online eligible items.

See a list of generally permitted medical and dental expenses.

IMPORTANT: If you don’t use the full amount you’ve elected to contribute by the end of the calendar year, the rest is forfeited and goes back to the Pure Project. We permit up to $640 of carryover provision for your FSAs.

Dependent Care FSA

A dependent care flexible spending account lets participants set aside pre-tax dollars to help pay for dependent care. It is a way to save money on expenses such as childcare or elderly care for a dependent.

IMPORTANT: Dependent Care FSA does NOT carry over. You need to use 100% of the funds by the end of the benefit year.

NOTE: Pure Project owns all the FSA accounts — if you leave, you can’t take the $$ or account with you. Read more  about Flexible Spending Accounts.
